* Nitish Kumar's JD(U) and BJP outdo Lalu's RJD in Bihar Elections!
* Nitish kumar is the next Cheif Minister for Bihar, Lalu accepts defeat.
* Lalu's party RJD has lost an election significantly after 15 years.
* Nitish Kumar was Cheif Minister for Bihar for one week in the year 2000, but had to step down as he was not able to prove majority and Rabri Devi took over the post.
* Heavy rain in many parts of Tamilnadu including Chennai.
* As a result, the third one day international cricket match between India and South Africa that was supposed to take place in Chennai was called off.
* Rahul Dravid replaces Sourav Ganguly as captain for the Indian Test squad. Rahul is named the captian of the Indian squad for the upcoming three test series against Srilanka.
* The rest of the team for the test series and for the remaining two one dayers will be announced tommorow.
* Markets correct for the second consecutive day.
* BSE lost 75.77 points and closed the day at 8,534.97 whereas NSE lost 29.65 points and closed at 2,572.85.
